
| Back in 1996 we bought a 1956 CJ-5A from a friend that had it sitting in his back yard for a number of years. Our goal was to completely restore the Jeep to as close to original condition as possible. We underestimated the amount of time and money it would require. |

The pistons in the Hurricane engine were
permanently frozen in place. Our hope was fading on reusing the block. |

The interior was pretty much gone. The roll bar was the only thing we were able to salvage. |

Down to the frame. The frame itself was in pretty good condition considering the abuse taken over the years. No cracks or stress points. |
