Back in 1996 we bought a 1956 CJ-5A from a friend that had it sitting in his back yard for a number of years.  Our goal was to completely restore the Jeep to as close to original condition as possible.  We underestimated the amount of time and money it would require.

Pulling the Jeep onto the trailer.  It took four guys to drag it on.

Ready to Go!

The pistons in the Hurricane engine were permanently frozen in place.  Our hope was fading on reusing the block.
The tub was completely unusable.  There was a lot of bondo and general body damage.
The interior was pretty much gone.  The roll bar was the only thing we were able to salvage.

Down to the frame.  The frame itself was in pretty good condition considering the abuse taken over the years.  No cracks or stress points.
